Welcome to Coursedude. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Coursedude websites, desktop and mobile applications, and related classroom learning-assistance services provided by SUBVERTRON PTE. LTD. (“Coursedude,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms and the Coursedude Privacy Policy before registering, purchasing, or using the Services. Please pay particular attention to the provisions concerning fees, automatic renewal, recording compliance, and limitations of liability.

1. Services and scope

1. Coursedude provides tools for learning and classroom settings, including live recording, speech-to-text transcription, translation, AI summaries, note organization, knowledge Q&A, and, where available, audio, video, or course-material upload and analysis. Available functions, supported languages, devices, and regions are shown in the product at the time of use.
2. The Services are learning-assistance tools. Transcripts, translations, summaries, answers, and other AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, mistranslated, or factually incorrect. They do not replace original recordings, course materials, instructor guidance, or professional advice. You must verify content before relying on it, submitting it, sharing it, or making an important decision based on it.
3. We may use third-party technologies to provide some functions, including speech recognition, cloud storage, AI models, authentication, and payment. Response times and output quality may vary because of network, device, classroom conditions, and third-party service availability.

2. Accounts, devices, and age requirement

1. You may register and sign in using an email verification code or another method shown in the product. You must provide information that is accurate, valid, and yours to use. Keep your credentials secure and contact us at the email below if you identify unauthorized access.
2. Your account is for your use in accordance with product instructions. You may not sell, rent, transfer, share, or otherwise provide your account to others, or use automation or other means to bypass plan limits or consume service resources abnormally.
3. You must be at least 16 years old to register for and use the Services. We do not offer the Services to persons under 16. If we learn that a person under 16 has provided personal information, we will stop processing it, delete it, or take other measures required by applicable law.

3. Recording, uploads, and third-party rights

1. You decide when to start recording, capture system audio, or upload a file. Before recording or uploading, you must determine the laws applicable where recording occurs and where relevant persons are located, as well as any school, course, or venue rules. If prior notice is required, you must tell instructors, classmates, and other people who may be recorded about the recording and possible cloud transcription, translation, AI processing, and storage, and provide access to the Coursedude Privacy Policy. If consent or another authorization is required, you must obtain it before recording. If both notice and consent are required, you must do both. Do not record or upload the content if you cannot meet the applicable requirements.
2. Recordings, courseware, handouts, images, and conversations may include another person's voice, personal information, likeness, works, or non-public material. Do not collect information unrelated to your learning purpose, publicly disclose or distribute another person's content without authorization, or use the Services to infringe privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights.
3. You retain rights you lawfully hold in content you upload or create. To provide the transcription, translation, storage, synchronization, AI analysis, and export functions you select, you authorize us and necessary service providers to process that content for the scope and period needed to provide those functions. This authorization does not transfer ownership of your content. See the Coursedude Privacy Policy for data-processing details.
4. You must be able to demonstrate compliance with the notice and authorization requirements above when reasonably needed. Each party remains responsible for obligations imposed on it by applicable law; this section does not remove privacy notice or rights-response obligations that the law requires us to perform directly.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Services for unlawful activity; upload content you have no right to process; distribute malware; attack the Services, APIs, or other users; scrape or resell the Services at scale; bypass payment or usage limits; or present AI output as instructor-verified, human-verified, or professional conclusions. Where there is an apparent violation, we may provide a warning, limit a function, suspend, or terminate an account as appropriate to the risk. Paid benefits and data processing will be handled under applicable law and these Terms, and you may submit an appeal.

5. Plans, Quota, and payment

1. Coursedude offers four plans: Free, Lite, Pro, and Ultra. A paid monthly plan lasts 31 calendar days from successful payment, and all plans are settled in United States dollars (USD). Current pricing is below. The plans actually offered, price, taxes, Quota granted for the period, function scope, and validity period are those shown on the checkout page and order confirmation before payment.

1. The Free plan is for an initial experience and may cover approximately two hours of course transcription and trial access to live transcription, cloud translation, AI summaries, and knowledge Q&A. Lite is designed for key courses and may cover approximately 10–15 hours of recording; Pro for everyday courses and approximately 22–32 hours; and Ultra includes the core Pro experience and is suited for intensive courses, research interviews, or longer projects, with approximately 50–75 hours of recording. These time estimates are illustrative and are not guaranteed service durations.
2. “Quota” is a unit used to measure use of Service functions. It is not currency, stored value, or a transferable asset. Quota consumption for live transcription, translation, audio/video analysis, AI summaries, Q&A, and other functions is determined by the pricing rules, processing volume, and usage details displayed in the product before or during use.
3. Quota included with a paid plan expires and is cleared at the end of the applicable plan period; it does not roll over. The Free plan's one-time 600 Quota is valid for 31 calendar days from grant and may be claimed once per account. The validity of any other promotional Quota is stated on the grant page or in the promotion rules. If Quota is insufficient or a plan expires, functions that require Quota may be unavailable. Access to saved content is governed by product instructions and the Privacy Policy.
4. Payment may be processed by third-party payment providers. We receive order numbers, payment status, amounts, and other records necessary to enable benefits, but do not require you to provide your complete card number or payment password directly to us. For an entitlement not received, duplicate charge, or order issue, contact help@coursedude.ai with your order information.

6. Manual renewal and automatic renewal

1. Manual renewal. If checkout identifies a purchase as one-time or manual renewal, it will not automatically charge you when the current period ends. You must place another order to continue paid benefits. If you manually renew the same plan during an active period, the new 31-calendar-day period begins after the current period ends.
2. Automatic renewal. A payment provider will charge a later period only if checkout clearly identifies automatic renewal, displays the renewal price, period, payment method, and cancellation path before payment, and you actively choose and authorize it. A successful renewal grants the next period's benefits. We will provide advance notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law if the renewal price or core benefits materially change.
3. You may cancel automatic renewal through the subscription-management page in your account. If self-service cancellation fails, contact help@coursedude.ai. Cancellation prevents the next-period charge; the paid period normally continues until its end. Cancelling renewal does not reverse a valid past payment or automatically delete your account or learning content.
4. If renewal fails, we will not use another payment method without authorization. We may invite you to update your payment method, and paid benefits may end when the current period expires.
5. Before an automatic-renewal charge, we will send a reminder through the application and by email. If applicable law specifies the timing, content, or method of a reminder, those requirements apply.

7. Plan changes and additional Quota

1. Standalone purchases of additional Quota are not currently available. If we add this option, the purchase page will state the price, validity, usage rules, and refund terms.
2. You may upgrade to a higher plan. At upgrade, we convert the remaining Quota in the existing plan into a proportionate monetary credit based on the amount of remaining Quota, and apply it against the new plan's charge. The calculation and actual credit are shown on the upgrade page. The new plan period begins again when upgrade payment succeeds.
3. Downgrades from a higher plan are not currently supported. After the current plan ends, you may select from the plans then available.

8. Refunds and order disputes

1. Digital services consume speech-processing, model, and storage resources. To request a refund, contact customer support at help@coursedude.ai with the order number, purchasing account, reason for the request, and necessary supporting information. Support will review the request in light of applicable law, order status, services supplied, Quota consumed, and any service failure. This section does not limit rights to a refund or withdrawal that you have under applicable law.
2. For duplicate or mistaken charges, a service that was not activated, or a sustained material service failure caused by us, you may request review under the preceding paragraph. If a refund is confirmed, we will issue it through the original payment method or another mutually agreed method. Timing depends on the payment provider.
3. You may ask us to review a disputed Quota charge or plan entitlement. Any refund for lawfully supplied and actually consumed services may be calculated reasonably under applicable law and the rules presented at purchase.
4. Users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and other places with a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase may exercise that right within the period and subject to the conditions of applicable local law. We will not treat acceptance of general Terms alone as separate consent to immediate delivery of digital content or a waiver of a statutory withdrawal right. Cancelling automatic renewal and withdrawing from a particular purchase are different actions.
5. Where law requires an order confirmation or a withdrawal method, we will provide an order and Terms confirmation by email or another durable medium, and explain the statutory withdrawal method before purchase. Where law requires an online withdrawal method, we will provide one.

9. Intellectual property and AI content

Coursedude's software, trademarks, interfaces, and technical materials are owned by us or the relevant rights holders. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or commercially distribute them without authorization. You retain your lawful rights in content you enter and upload. To improve Coursedude and train, test, and optimize Coursedude's own AI models, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide authorization to process de-identified text and usage data generated from course content within the scope described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy, including through necessary service providers. We do not use original recordings, original audio/video, original courseware, or other original course materials for this training. You confirm that you can grant this authorization and have provided all notices, obtained all consents, and secured any other permissions required by applicable law from people whose content is involved. Use of AI output must also comply with law, third-party rights, and your school's academic-integrity rules. We do not guarantee that AI output is exclusively available to you or suitable for any examination, paper, medical, legal, or financial use.

10. Changes, interruptions, and termination

1. We use reasonable efforts to maintain the Services. Maintenance, network or third-party failures, force majeure, and security incidents may cause temporary interruptions. We will try to provide advance notice of planned, significant maintenance.
2. If we need to stop a paid Service or materially reduce paid core benefits, we will provide continued performance, a substitute service, or a reasonable refund as appropriate under applicable law, the order terms, and the unprovided portion of the Service. Ordinary feature updates do not by themselves reduce the core benefits purchased for an active period.
3. You may stop using the Services or request account deletion. Within three business days after deletion takes effect, we will delete your account and associated cloud recordings, transcripts, notes, chat records, and backups. Order, financial, and dispute records that must be retained by law are handled as required by law. Before deletion, export what you need and address any active subscription; automatic renewal must be cancelled separately. You are responsible for deleting local copies on your device. See the Privacy Policy for further details.

11. Changes to these Terms, governing law, and disputes

We will provide reasonable advance notice when we change important terms affecting your rights or obligations and will obtain renewed consent where required by law. Prices and core benefits for a purchased period are generally governed by the order at the time of purchase. For disputes arising from these Terms, the parties should first seek resolution through help@coursedude.ai. If no resolution is reached, the laws of the People's Republic of China apply and the dispute will be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in Shanghai, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules and jurisdiction rules in your place of residence that cannot be excluded. These Terms may be translated into Chinese. If an English version and a Chinese version differ, the Chinese version prevails.
